3 Days Chimpanzee Tracking Rwanda

Overview
This 3 Days Chimpanzee Tracking Rwanda takes you to the largest tropical afro Montane rainforest east or central Africa and rainforest it is and receives over 2000mm of rain each year and its Rwanda’s largest water catchment area and its home to 2/ 3rds of all Rwanda’s water. The forest also feeds both the river Congo and the River Nile with water.
Day 1. Transfer to Nyungwe National park
On this day you will wake up early, take your morning breakfast, set off the journey to Nyungwe National park. The journey will last for about 5 hours driving. You will have a stopover at Lake kivu to experience the day by day lives of the local people in the villages and upon your arrival, you will do nothing but to relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

Day2. Nyungwe chimpanzee tracking
Today after breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe information center for a briefing and then enter the forest and start searching for chimpanzees.
The forest walk will expect to take 2 to 3 hrs where you will follow chimpanzees, meet up with them as they go about with their daily activities and watch them for an hour.
After tracking, you will transfer back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day3. Transfer back to Kigali city
After a morning breakfast, you will back to Kigali with stopovers Cathedral of Kabgayi, ancient king’s palace at Nyanza, National Museum at Huye, Women drumming group and learn their history and taboos about Rwanda Drums. Lunch will be en-route before your drop off.
