Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe to start your safari in Uganda
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by your driver guide and transferred the short distance to your guesthouse.
Depending on arrival time, you will be able to spend a short time while relaxing in this peaceful spot, explore around town or take a walk in the botanical gardens (optional).
In the evening you will meet up with your fellow travelers and be briefed on the coming day’s activities.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
An early start from Entebbe heading to Lake Mburo NP and stopping at the equator.
You’ll arrive in the late afternoon in time for an evening game drive.
The Game Drive in Lake Mburo passes a variety of landscape features including acacia woodland, wetlands, grassy hillsides, rock outcrops and seasonally flooded valley floors. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times to roam the park in search of wildlife.
On a game drive in this park, one is assured of spotting Zebra, Buffalo, Impala, Warthog and Waterbuck and possible Giraffe and Eland too.

Day 3: Lake Mburo, Lake Bunyonyi and into the Forest
In the morning you’ll explore the fringes of Lake Mburo NP looking out for wildlife once again. Then we’ll head westwards for through the tea plantations and farmland of western Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi for lunch.
After lunch we’ll take the winding road through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to your lodge overlooking the canopy.

Day 4: Gorilla habituation day
Gorilla habituation! Your lodge is just a short drive from the start of your gorilla habituation. This experience usually lasts from 2-8 hours, but can be 8 or more depending on the location of your gorilla family. You will track in a group of a maximum of 8 visitors plus guides and guards. You will spend 4 hours together with these splendid and impressive cousins of ours, always maintaining a safe distance to protect you and them. A reasonable level of fitness is required for this activity.
After your trekking we’ll continue on through Bwindi Forest and down to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP.

Day 5: Tree Climbing Lions of Ishasha sector
A morning game drive in the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP in search of the famous tree climbing lions as well as elephant, hippos, topis and various other antelopes.
We’ll have lunch at the lodge and then decide whether to have another short drive in Ishasha or whether to head off immediately to Queen Elizabeth Kasenyi sector for an evening game drive there.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and Boat trip on the Kazinga Channel
A very early start as we head to the Kalinzu forest for your chimp trekking in the hope of spending an hour with man’s closest cousins. This activity requires a reasonable level of fitness.
Back to the lodge for lunch before your boat trip on the Kazinga channel in the afternoon. You’re likely to find hippos, crocodiles, warthog, buffalo and elephant taking water on the banks, plus and amazing array of bird life. You never know who else might pop down to the channel too!

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park and a tour of the Crater Lakes
The Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth takes place in the open grasslands of Kasenyi in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is a primary game viewing area due to the variety of wildlife which includes antelopes, hyena, elephants, buffaloes, and lions.
After an early lunch we’ll head up into the crater lakes area and in the afternoon you’ll go on a boda boda (local motorbike taxi) tour of some lakes.

Day 8: Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary then return to Entebbe
Early morning walk in the Bigodi Wetland sanctuary looking out for primates and birdlife in the swamp and the adjacent forest gallery.
Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is a community development enterprise located on the fringe of Kibale National Park where guided tours are conducted along a path through the wetland at time along boardwalk trail. Bigodi is a birder’s paradise with 138 bird species having been identified there including the crowd please Great Blue Turaco. The sanctuary is also home to 8 primate species including the black and white colobus, red colobus, mangabey, red tail, vervet, and L’Hoest.
After the walk we head to Entebbe, taking lunch en route and arriving in the evening.
